Traveling Guidelines

Remember these guidelines when traveling:

• Use public transport when possible
• Walk or cycle at the weekends
• When going to the gym walk or cycle
• Encourage your children to walk home from school if possible
• Choose appropriate cars that are environmental friendly ie. cars that have a small engine size (1.5 or less), have a diesel engine and are aerodynamic (have least wind resistance). A good idea would be to go for an electric, hybrid car or have your car converted to Liquid Petroleum Gas, vegetable oil or bio diesel.
• Keep your tires properly inflated so that you do not waste gas/petrol
• Flying causes more environmental damage than any other form of transport because it uses a huge amount of fuel and deposits harmful gases in the atmosphere. Thus, the further you travel the worse effect it has on the environment
