Lighting Guidelines

Remember these guidelines with lighting:

• Use energy saving bulbs rather than the normal ones
• Install low energy light bulbs in rooms that you use for long periods of time because they last longer and provide the same amount of lighting for a ¼ of the running costs
• Switch lights off when your not in the room
• If you leave an outside light on make sure it is a low energy lamp which has a sensor on it that makes it stay off during daylight
• Dust and clean light bulbs and shades regularly so that they produce maximum light output
